 About Metro Judo Club

The Metro judo club was founded in 1977 as part of the Queens Silver Jubilee.

The remit of the club was and is, to at low cost bring the Olympic sport of judo to the young people of Greenwich and surrounding areas. Further to that we promote and make available to these young people youth services and experiences through the clubs many partners within the London Youth service.

Seniors 8:00pm - 9pm

Friday
Tots (4-7 years) 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Juniors (8-15 years) 7:00pm - 8.30pm

Autism Sessions
September 8th
October 13th
November 10th
December 15th

Session times are:
8 to 11 years old, 9-30am to 10-30 am
12 to 16 years old, 10-30 am to 11-30 am

The Metro Judo Club, is Affiliated to the British Judo Association, which is the Governing body, for the sport of Judo, in Great Britain, and is affiliated to the British Olympic Association.

METRO was recently awarded the prestigious Queens Award for Volunteer Service

A management committee oversees the club, and it is run by a team of volunteer coaches, welfare officer, young volunteers and youth workers.
All coaches and welfare officers have:

Up to-date, British Judo Association Licence and Coaching awards
Up to-date, British Judo Association, Welfare Officer training
Up to-date, Disclosure and Barring Service ( DBS)
Up to-date, Safe Guarding Certificate
Up to-date First Aid Certificate
All Coaching Awards and Certificates, are renewed every 3 years
